My madness, Series of «Children of flowers”

The demons are inside us. In this work, I explore different sides of the human soul, exposing the essence, directly showing what is hidden behind the mask.

The sculpture «Girl with Flowers« is part of the Children of flower project, which reveals the world of childhood through the prism of flowers. The main goal is to demonstrate the personification of an inner child who needs to be cherished, protected and supported. The sculpture from the limited collection is available for auction exclusively before the official exhibition at the Askeri Gallery. The funds raised in the amount of 100,000 rubles were sent to the Lifeline Foundation.

Children of Flower is a project that began to take shape in 2019, during one of the most difficult periods in Pavel’s life. Flowers became a form of psychological and emotional protection—an optical lens through which the artist tried to see the best in the world, make sense of what was happening to him, and preserve his ability to recognise beauty.

The images of children are connected to memories of a time untouched by deadlines, financial concerns, and constant haste. Pavel’s most vivid memories are of the summers he spent with his great-grandmothers, surrounded by gardens, forests, berries, and flowers. It was there that his love of nature and creativity began to emerge. He made dolls from grass, invented characters, and built small imaginary worlds of his own.

The project is also a tribute to the artist’s great-grandmothers—the roots of the family that provide a person with grounding, memory, and a sense of belonging. From these roots, one’s identity, inner world, and creative path gradually begin to grow.

Children of Flower is a story of protection, memory, and the inner purity from which art is born.

The title is connected to a childhood dream of ballet, which for me has always remained something deeply attractive. There is also irony in the image: childhood is a desire for freedom and play, but it often collides with boundaries and expectations. This work combines a personal memory with a visual metaphor.

This piece is about childhood memories — summers at my great-grandmother’s village, where there was a beehive.
Once a bee stung me on the forehead, and the small scar it left feels like a seal — rooting my deep love for nature.
